Lanivendole collaborated with designer Soraya García to create this florak-inspired colorway for the ffirst installment of the 2021 Indie Untangled Where We Knit Yarn Club. For the club, dyers and designers create a colorway and an accompanying accessory pattern, drawing inspiration from various places where they whip out their works in progress:
Giulia and Stefania, who create rustic, hand-dyed yarns in Italy, will partner with Soraya, a native of Spain currently living in Amsterdam. Their inspiration is a photograph Soraya took in late winter 2020, showcasing the blooming of a new reality in a year filled with complex emotions.
This gently speckled colorway will be dyed on Lanivendole’s A Chic Blend, which is comprised of 60% Brogna wool, 20% alpaca and 20% mohair, bred and spun in Italy, with 246 yards per 50g skein.
Gauge: 24-26 sts over 4” on 3.5mm needles
Use it to knit Soraya’s New Age Mittens to keep warm and cozy this upcoming fall and winter.
