Katlin of Porter Wool Co collaborated with designer Samantha Guerin to create this colorway, called Hearthstone, for the first installment of the 2023 Indie Untangled Where We Knit Yarn Club. For the club, dyers and designers create a colorway and an accompanying accessory pattern, drawing inspiration from various places where they whip out their works in progress:
Hearthstone is inspired by knitting at home: Like knitters around the world, Katlin and Samantha believe that home is where your yarn is. Home is a safe haven; a place to welcome in friends and share our love of this craft. Their inspiration photo of a botanical wreath, handmade by Lauren Cleary of Nova Wreaths, captures the essence of the warmth, joy and quiet moments that can be found at home.
This gently speckled colorway will be dyed on Merino DK, a 100% Superwash Merino with 250 yards per skein.
Use it to knit Samantha’s Hearth & Haven Hat, as seen on Ravelry, and be warm and cozy this winter.
This is a preorder. The yarn will ship in early January.
