This 3ply fingering was milled with Targhee from the Puget Sound region of Washington State by Skagit Woolen Works, a small women-owned business. It was hand dyed by Sarah of Sea Change Fibers, based in Portland, Oregon.
The colorways — Wildwood, a bright green, and Under Wildwood, a moodier blue-green — are inspired by Portland's Forest Park.
Forest Park also inspired Wildwood, the illustrated novel written by Colin Meloy and illustrated by Carson Ellis. Oregon stop-motion studio LAIKA has adapted the book for the screen, with the movie arriving in theaters October 23, 2026.
