This yarn is a fingering-weight blend of 40% Romney and 60% Merino grown, spun and dyed in New York State by Battenkill Fibers and Murky Depths Dyeworks.
I purchased one skein to test. Knit a couple of inches of ribbing and then a couple of inches of a simple lace pattern, first on size US 1 needles and then on US 5s. Both fabrics were stunning with great stitch definition. The bit of sheen just adds to the beauty. Hope this becomes available in other colors and in sweater quantities.
