Kate of McMullin Fiber Co. has created two exclusive colorways inspired by the colorful tide pools at Olympic National Park, captured by Z. Van Duivenbode of the National Park Service.

"The presence of star fish in the bays in the Pacific Northwest is always a wonderful sign of a healthy ecosystem," Kate says. "Whenever we visit we spend a good portion of our time kayaking the bay looking for starfish. Some years the orange starfish are harder to find, but it’s usually the purple ones that are the most elusive. Whenever anyone finds one, they paddle back to the beach and spread the word to all the cousins and lead a little tour group out so we can all (from a respectful distance of course) take a peek and see it for ourselves."

The variegated Rialto Beach is available on both Posh Sock (420 yards per 115g) and Posh DK (280 yards per 115g), a luxurious blend of 80% Superwash Wool, 10% Cashmere and 10% nylon.

A contrast color, Green Anemone, is available on Kate's Fluff base, a laceweight blend of 72% Kid Mohair and 28% silk, with 455 yards per 50g skein.

Fluff can be used on its own or carried along with either Posh Sock or Posh DK to add subtle softness and halo to your projects.

Gorgeous yarn

I LOVE my McMullen Fibre Co yarn! It's not being used as of yet. It will be used as a gift for my sister. Thanks Indie Untangled, for showing these to us!
