Susie of Fiber MacGyver was inspired by this photo of Artists Palette at Death Valley National Park, taken by photographer Jon Fischer, for her Knitting Our National Parks colorway.
Painted Hills will be dyed on two bases:
• Merino Twist, a fingering-weight 80/20 blend of Superwash Merino and nylon that come in 400-yard skeins, ideal for socks, shawls and lightweight garments.
• Merino Sport (pictured), a heavy sport to light DK-weight base in 100% Superwash Merino with a generous 274 yards per skein, perfect for cowls, hats and, of course, squishy sweaters.
Your stashing benefits a good cause: 10% of all sales will be split between the National Park Foundation and the Native American Rights Fund.
