This is a combed, worsted-spun, fingering-weight, 3-ply yarn made from 100% Debouillet wool from sheep raised in Montana. The scouring, spinning and skeining took place in Texas, Pennsylvania and Maine, overseen by bestselling author and "wool whisperer" Clara Parkes. It was hand dyed in New York by Robin of Birch Hollow Fibers.

There are approximately 355 yards per 4-ounce skein.

The ideal stockinette gauge for this yarn is 6 to 6.5 stitches per inch on US 3-4 (3.25-3.5mm) needles.

Debouillet is a New Mexican sheep breed that is a cross between Delaine Merino and Rambouillet. That means it's fine and soft, while being sturdy and springy, which is perfect for any type of next-to-skin wear: pullovers, cardigans, vests, hats, mitts, shawls, scarves, cowls. The 3-ply construction provides beautiful stitch definition.
