The Manhattan yarn shop Knitty City is much like its founder, Pearl Chin: welcoming, sometimes a little chaotic and always brimming with passion for craft and community.
Pearl sadly passed away on October 27, 2020, shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer. As a tribute to her and the support she has provided to so many indie dyers, and the funds she's raised for important causes, I helped organize The Pearl Project. As part of this, I'm working with dyers Julie Asselin, Christina of Chelsea Yarns, Amanda of Hu Made, Marian of Marianated Yarns, Debbie of Murky Depths Dyeworks and Mariana and Nick of Nooch Fiber to create special colorways and designs, and host giveaways, to raise money for organizations Pearl has supported.
100% of the sales of this hat pattern will be donated to the NFC Momentum Fund, created by Karida Collins, the founder of Neighborhood Fiber Co. and one of the first indie dyers whose yarn Pearl carried at Knitty City.
You will receive a PDF copy of the Pearl's Oyster pattern. Check your email for the download link.
EU customers: You must purchase the pattern on Ravelry.
