Wendee has created an exclusive colorway inspired by the photo of a wildflower field at Mount Rainier National Park, a couple of hours from the Hazel Knits studio in Seattle, taken by photographer Doug Shearer.

Mountain Meadow is dyed on two bases:

Blueprint Sock, 440 yards of 80% Superwash Merino and 20% nylon, perfect for socks and shawls

Lively DK, a blend of 90% Superwash Merino and 10% nylon with a tight twist and generous 275 yards per skein, ideal for sweaters and accessories

Your stashing benefits a good cause: 10% of all sales will be divided between the National Park Foundation and the Native American Rights Fund.

Wendee and Dave are color geniuses!

Every Hazel Knits colorway is a true work of art, but they really hit it out of the park and created a masterpiece with Mountain Meadow. I can't wait to find just the right pattern to show off its beauty.

Beautiful yarn and color

I ordered two skeins, one of fingering and one of DK. Enough yardage to be able to make a hat and mitts or maybe a scarf. Mt. Rainier is one of my favorite parks, I grew up camping on it every summer.

As usual from Hazel Knits, the yarn is gorgeous! (I bought the Blueprint base) I plan to use it in a MKAL.
